Hard Lines × Green Man

Hard Lines × Green Man

After a few years away, 3 to be exact, it felt pretty great to be back serving coffee at Green Man Festival this year.

There’s something about serving coffee at Green Man that feels a little special. Maybe it’s the setting in the Welsh hills, maybe it’s the early-morning festival crowds slowly coming to life, or maybe it’s the fact that you can go from serving flat whites in the sunshine to battling a proper Welsh downpour half an hour later.

And what a soundtrack to work alongside. The lineup this year was incredible, a mix of longtime favourites and new discoveries. Dishing out espressos and hot chocolates while Four Tet headlined the main stage was quite something.

After being away for a few years, it was a real buzz to see familiar faces, meet new ones and feel part of the Green Man atmosphere again. The novelty of serving our cafe regulars in a field, still ordering "the usual", will never wear off. The familiarity, warmth and festival spirit carried us through one of our busiest weekends ever.

A more efficient set-up and a brilliant team also added to the experience; drinks were flowing non-stop. We served a record breaking 2200 flat whites!

“We wanted to make our return memorable: a better set-up, a passionate team and a whole lot of energy.” - Matt, Director and Founder of Hard Lines.

Four days, countless coffees, a lot of rain, a lot of sun and one very tired but very happy team later, we’re already looking forward to (hopefully!) doing it all again next year.

It's going to take a while to come back down to earth. Green Man, it's good to be back.
