Meet the Producer

Renato Brito

We’ve worked with Renato and the team at Sete Cachoeiras for the past four years, building a relationship that has become an important part of House Party.

We first visited the farm in 2022 and fell in love with the place, the people and their approach to coffee. We returned in 2024 and again in 2026. Each visit has given us a deeper appreciation for what Renato and his team do — and it’s been amazing to see how the farm has developed along the way.

Renato’s care, knowledge and commitment can be felt throughout the farm and, ultimately, in every cup.

Sete Cachoeiras is one of Brazil’s most advanced coffee farms, combining generations of experience and modern technology with a deep commitment to responsible farming. Rainforest Alliance certified, the farm protects areas of native habitat, giving nature space to thrive alongside coffee production.

Harvesting, colour sorting and drying are all highly mechanised. This creates remarkable consistency while making the work safer and less physically demanding for the people on the farm.

House Party is made entirely from Acaiá. Working with a single variety gives the coffee a clear character and helps create the consistency we love, from one harvest to the next.

But the technology is only part of the story. What makes Sete Cachoeiras special is Renato, his family and the team around them. House Party is the result of their hard work, our ongoing relationship and a shared belief that great coffee should be enjoyed every day.

Lovely tasting coffee

Great coffee, slightly clunky website

We’re loyal customers. We only drink Hard Lines coffee beans at home and recommend you to friends. So no coffee complaints— although would like an organic beans option. We have a monthly subscription but sometimes run out of beans before our scheduled delivery date. I find the website and adapting your subscription slightly clunky. This month for example, I thought I’d managed to bring my subscription delivery forward as we were running low on beans. Only to find that I seemed to have ordered an additional pack and then my normal subscription arrived a few days later. So we’ve paid twice. We’ll get through the beans so don’t mind having a second bag but now next month will have to delay the subscription. I have subscriptions with other companies and find their websites much easier to navigate and subscriptions easier to adjust as required.

A little harsh, but certainly peppy

Not the most interesting flavour profile, but a solid keep-you-awake-during-a-stakeout performer.

Coffee FAQ's

What types of coffee do you offer?

We specialise in specialty coffee roasted fresh to order. Our selection includes single-origin coffees  from around the world and carefully crafted blends. Each coffee comes with detailed tasting notes  and origin information to help you choose the perfect cup.

How fresh is your coffee?

All our coffee is roasted to order and typically shipped within 1-3 working days of roasting. We  include the roast date on every bag so you know exactly how fresh your coffee is.

How should I store my coffee?

Store your coffee beans in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep them in the original  bag or an airtight container. For best flavour, consume within 3 months of the roast date. Avoid  storing coffee in the fridge or freezer.

What grind size should I choose?

  • Whole Bean: Best for maximum freshness (grind just before brewing)
  • Coarse: Pour over, French press - Cafetière, Cold Brew
  • Medium: AeroPress
  • Fine: Espresso, Moka pot

If you're unsure, we recommend whole bean and grinding at home.

How do subscriptions work?

Our coffee subscriptions are simple and flexible. Choose how often you’d like coffee — bi-weekly, or monthly — and we’ll roast, pack, and ship it fresh to your door. You’ll often receive coffees before they’re released publicly, and the selection updates on the 21st of each month to keep things varied and interesting.

You’re always in control. You can pause, skip, change your delivery frequency, update your details, or cancel at any time through your account or by email. Changes take effect right away if made before your next billing date — just give us at least 3 days’ notice if you need to adjust an upcoming delivery.

We have a range of different subscriptions to suit everyone. Check them out in Subscriptions
