How to Brew The Festive Blend
Cold outside. Cosy inside. Before the day gets busy, give yourself a minute with a mug of Festive Blend. Go on. Pop the Kettle on.
For this guide, we've kept it simple.
Less faff leaves more time for fun! Plus, brewing big means there's plenty to share.
What you'll need:
Cafetière/French Press
30g of Festive Blend (coarse grind)
500ml boiled water (if we’re being picky, 94°C is prime)
tablespoon, scales, timer and your favourite mug or a few if you're sharing
Step 1
Add the 30g of ground coffee to the cafetière.
Step 2
Pour over the 500ml of boiling water.
Step 3
Set a timer for 4 minutes and make sure the coffee grounds are fully saturated by giving the cafetière a light swirl.
Step 4
Once the timer is up, plunge! But don’t plunge all the way, you don’t want to compress the grounds at the bottom, as this adds bitterness.
Step 5
Pour into your favourite mug or shout to your pals, “coffee’s ready!”
Serving Suggestion:
Add a splash of House Party Coffee Liqueur for an extra buzz.
Pairs perfectly with a mince pie or a fistful of Quality Street.
